During scanning in any mode vibrations can occur - slight changes in scanner or object position. If this happens while scanning pattern is projected, distortions will appear on the scanned surface.
Vibration detection option is used to filter out scanning data when movement is present. Scanning process stops after vibration is detected and it has to be repeated, taking the vibration source into account. As a result, scanning artifacts are excluded from the final mesh set, which grants higher quality and stability of scanning overall.
This function is integrated into two sections of the software.
Vibration detection is always active for all scanner models during Calibration to ensure proper calibration procedure and results.
In Scanning mode it is turned off by default and can be enabled with different sensitivity levels depending on visible amount of scan distortion present in the scanning results.
To enable vibration detection go to Software settings → Advanced.
Applied settings are saved and will be transferred to a new project.
