The calibration field is a special plate with marks, the distance between which is measured with high precision. Used to configure and calibrate the scanner.

Each scanning zone of the scanner uses its own calibration field. There are only three standard fields: L - the largest, S - the smallest. The approximate field size is indicated in the Scanner setup section.

To evaluate the axis of the rotary table in scanning zone No. 3, a special small field “For evaluation of the axis” is used, which does not have a sticker with the size. The photos below shows the calibration fields and the axis evaluation field.

The field material is carbon fiber. At the end you can see the layered structure of the material. Also visible on the field itself is a distinctive carbon fiber pattern. Carbon fiber is least susceptible to temperature deformation.

The field material is aluminum composite. At the end you can see that the field consists of alternating layers of aluminum and plastic.

The field material is aluminum. The field is painted black. The only non-composite field material type available for selection. Aluminum fields were included in the package until mid-2020.
