You need to perform calibration in order to ensure the work of the scanner after the adjustment of lenses. Specifically for this purpose we use the calibration plate, which is pre-measured with high accuracy. Scanning software analyses the image of the plate, obtained from the cameras and compares it with the mathematical model, marked by the algorithm. There are 2 types of calibration: Calibration by default scheme (8 steps), calibration by alternative scheme (11 steps). The calibration scheme is selected in the program Settings from the main menu in the Advanced tab.
Focus assessment during calibration
ScanCenter NG 2022.1.1 has a new hardware profile storage system based on scanner model identification recorded on the license key.
In the new version, hardware settings and calibration for several scanners of the same model are stored in different folders.

When migrating to a new version, the user's scanner configuration settings will be reset to default, so a new calibration will be required.
